letters to the mayor
The project “Letters to the Mayor” was initiated in 2014 by Storefront for Art and Architecture in New York, and has now been replicated in more than 15 cities around the world. Letters to the Mayor: Nashville invited a group of architects to write a letter to the Mayor to express some of the pressing questions and desires that play an important role in the physical and political dimensions and decisions that drive the making of cities. At each exhibit a local artist or designer is asked to design a Mayoral Desk / Architect’s Table and a Wallpaper that support the initiative of the project. My role was to design and install the “wallpaper”. The design is a dimensional piece meant to softly encase a space for the letters and the discussions they prompt.
